by admin Dec 29, 2011 — I would never have imagined that a washing machine as poorly designed as the Maytag Centennial model #MVWC300X could even exist in the American market place. It's automatic water level sensor cannot be manually overridden and uses water so sparingly that high quality permanent press clothes are likely to be damaged during a normal wash cycle.
Because there's not enough water for the clothes to float or rotate, the fins of the agitator rub on the same area of clothing over and over. As demonstrated in this video, such behavior is especially damaging to the edges of permanent press shirt collars. Reply to admin
by r2d2 Jan 08, 2011 — I needed 3 racks of uncooked pork ribs... Walmart had only two. I bought those and went to United Supermarket for one more. The brands and descriptions were IDENTICAL: "Farmland Extra Meaty Pork Loin Back Ribs." Walmart's regular price was $3.98 per pound. At United, they were advertised as ON SALE with a SALE PRICE of $4.49 per pound. That's a difference of 51 cents per pound. The rack that I bought at United weighed 3.33 lbs... It cost me $1.70 more than I'd have paid at Walmart FOR A SINGLE RACK OF RIBS! If I'd have purchased all three racks at United, I would have paid an additional $5.21. OUTRAGEOUS! The difference? UNION WORKERS! Anybody want to talk about corporate greed? The problem is not CORPORATE GREED it's UNION greed! Reply to r2d2
by bobblehead Sep 27, 2010 — Have you seen the new TV commercials for Health Insurance for pets? It's a HORRIBLE idea and consumers desperately need to avoid it! Otherwise, it'll give insurance companies the opportunity to collaborate with veterinarians to drive up the cost of health care for animals like they've driven up the cost of health care for humans. by mathman Sep 01, 2010 — The future of wind turbines... I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed. And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away. -Percy Bysshe Shelley, 1818 Reply to mathman
